Turkey Bashing

turkey pinata

I’ve always wanted to make a roast turkey costume for my cat. A combination of my own laziness and the cat’s reluctance to wear costumes (go figure) has sidelined those plans. Yet, today I was confronted by a project we can both get into: a paper mache roast turkey pinata. Yes indeed, we’ll fill it with leftover Halloween candy for me, trinkets and toys for my wife and cat treats. Fun for the whole family. Instructions on how you can make this pinata and make everyone’s day just a little brighter are available on the ReadyMade Project Blog.

I love ReadyMade and actually remember buying their premier issue years ago. For those not in the know, ReadyMade is billed as “A bimonthly print magazine for people who like to make stuff.” Fun, funky, practical, this takes arts and crafts up several notches.
