The upcoming 2005 World Expo in Aichi (March 25 – September 25) will be a showcase of Japan’s technologies and robotic culture.
The Expo will feature Actroid, the naturally spoken robot. It can carry on a conversation with a guest, answering in a natural voice. They can communicate in Chinese, Korean, English and Japanese. When communicating with a guest, Actroid responds with natural gestures such eye movement and smiling.
Also featured is PaPeRo, the child care robot. PaPeRo will play games with kids, recognizing each child through their personal identification and voice identification functions and they will also mediate calls with parents in distant locations.
I will be the first at Industrial Brand Creative to suggest we take a trip to Japan for the World Expo.
