In clicking through links for my last post, I revisited Timothy McSweeney’s and came across this gem: Reviews of New Food is just that, short, well-written and quirky essays on various authors’ first encounters with different foods. An excerpt: “If a jellyfish sheepishly rolled the eyes it doesn’t have upward toward you and said, ‘I am healthy’, then thundered, ‘Eat me, biotch!’, you’d be left to take it at its word and down the sucker. If you are into food (like we are), you’ll love these. This is the freshest (healthiest?) food writing I’ve read in a while.
