All my friends seem to be having babies these days and it’s interesting to consider the names they’re choosing, such as Ashley, Marshall, Rory, Nolan and Georgina. I don’t remember any of these names when I was a youngster. It seems names have huge trends, with spikes or drops in usage based on celebrities and world events. Name Voyager shows the rise and fall of historical name usage based on birth certificates registered with Amercia’s Social Security Administration. Try “Adolph” or “Homer” and consider why these names have fallen out of favour. Then type in “Brittany” or “Shaquille”. Cool.
