Canada Post has revealed the design of a new stamp to be issued August 16th, 2006 commemorating the 50th of the GDC as well as the contributions of Canadian designers to our country’s economy, culture and national identity – 50 years of designing Canada.
The stamp features a beaver made out of Cartier letterforms, a typeface originally designed by GDC Fellow Carl Dair, and the GDC logo designed in 1967 by Jacques Émile Charette.
