Cinepainting?

oio
I’ve never heard of “cinepainting” before, but Quebecer Simon Goulet’s prize-winning short film OIO uses 540 litres of paint, 56 colours, 7,000 metres of film and 33,000 digitized images at 360 frames per second to create nine minutes of joy. Over an incredible 10 year period, Goulet convinced friends to help him catapult the paint into the air while he filmed it. What a mess that must’ve made! You can view a clip of OIO here and order your own copy of the DVD online at his website www.oiofilm.com.
