The 2008 Beijing Olympic Games has revealed its mascots. Named the Five Friendlies, the mascots include a panda, a chiru (Tibetan antelope), a swallow, a fish and the Olympic flame. Each corresponds to a natural element: earth, sky, sea, forest and fire. The first syllable in each name, when merged, forms the phrase Beijing Huanying Ni, which means Beijing welcomes you.
