A Classic Wedding

Last night was the beautiful wedding services for our dear friends Ben Garfinkel and Andrea Bellamy. Everything about the day was thoughtfully planned and meticulously executed – in classic Ben and Andrea style.

From the gorgeous Art Nouveau theme and decorations, matched perfectly by the early 1900’s architecture of Hycroft Manor, to the romantic jazz played by the Van Django quintet, the inspired food and wedding cake, right down to signature drinks named to suit the elegant historic surroundings such as “The Speakeasy”.

Those of us in the wedding party (I was honoured to serve as a groomsman) witnessed a touching private Jewish ceremony followed by an outdoor service for the attendees under the shade of a hand-made lace huppa. Ben and Andrea truly looked like the hero and heroin straight out of a classic black & white movie. The evening saw a number of Ben’s buddy’s take to the microphone and take turns roasting him – as well he deserved. But overall the night was filled with eating, dancing and laughing – three of Ben’s favourite pastimes.

Here are some photos from the memorable evening. Congratulations and mazel tov Ben and Andrea!
