These are interesting times with events around the world being reported and visually told via online news sources at an astonishing pace. 10×10 is an interactive exploration of the words and pictures that define the zeitgeist of the moment. Each hour the site scens RSS feeds of international news sources and creates a 10 x 10 grid using pictures and text of leading stories. It’s a creative and dizzying approach to data visualization that captures what the world is talking about at the moment. This is the site that inspired Yahoo!’s Netrospective: 10 Years, 100 Moments and won the 2005 Webby Award for Best Structure and Navigation. Spend some time on it and try not to feel humble.
