I can’t believe I’ve never posted about this before. I’m so ashamed. One of my favourite movies and soundtracks ever is the double Grammy nominated film 1 Giant Leap. Everyone should see this film. Amazingly shot by musician Jamie Catto of Faithless and producer Duncan Bridgeman while journeying around the world, 1 Giant Leap combines dazzling visuals, wisdom, music and cultures into a wonderful audio-video montage. Some sequences are filled with pure joy, others dripping of deep sadness, the entire experience leaving you feeling like you just witnessed something important. Something with the power to change you. Each time I see it I feel inspired, yet insignicant and humble, lacking true understanding of the world. It made me want to travel much more. And the soundtrack music CD is one of my favourite albums ever. As my dear friend Billy Chapman, who originally put me on to 1 Giant Leap, said “If I won a lottery, I’d buy a hundred copies and give them to loved ones and strangers.” Me too.
